Matthew Patterson Curry has been immersed in all things audio for the past 14 years, starting with sound installations at San Francisco Art Institute, where he was initially introduced to Max/MSP. This took him to work at Cycling ’74 for 5 years doing technical support and testing while he lead a parallel life producing his electronic “dork pop” under the moniker Safety Scissors.
After a 3 year stint in Berlin, performing all over the world he returned to San Francisco where he focused on audio post production, mainly working for the Emmy award winning TV station Current TV. He has taught courses and workshops, on Max/MSP, Logic and Pro Tools, at universities and small schools, even wearing the headset microphone at the Apple Store a couple of times.
